Whats going on with Franz ........

Yoooooooo everybody!
Here is a little update about whats going on in my life.
I am working full time in a lawn care business. (I am earning big time $$$$$$$$$$$$$) I am mainly cutting and trimming the lawns all around westside Vancouver. It is fun ... RAIN RAIN RAIN .... as much as rain can be fun.
Besides doing that (which keeps me slim and good looking) I am working on my correspondance course!
With this course I will be able to write the Transport Canada Knowledge Exams for Aircraftmechanics, which in turn will give me the opportunity to apply for an apprenticeship with a local company. (thats the plan .... hopefully it works the rest is in God's hands)
In the rest of my time I hang out with Lisa (my awesome and stunning wife) and my oldest daughter Eden, sit on our church board, which makes me think, that God actually wants to use me in some way and practice bow and error shooting. (a little attempt to maintain at least some kind of a hobby).

Life is a bit full ...... from 0 to 100 in less than 1 sec. Things developed fast after I received my PR-Card (For all who don't know what PR means ..... Permanent Resident .... I am just to lazy)
In all that I am hanging on to God and trust him to be on my side in this crazy pase.
Thank god, that his grace is new every morning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edens food and drinking habits!!!!

Eden is the best! Her first cold

Eden is just amazing. She makes us laugh so much. She is the happiest and most active baby - girl I have ever seen.
Even though she was sick, she was always smiling and laughing. She slowly gets better now and is absolutly keen to explore the world.

Oh, I love her so much. Isn't she cute.

Eden's first Christmas!

I love our tree this year. It is beautiful and really really romantic. I just love Christmas. Don't you agree!
We will spend Christmas (24th) as a little family together and head over to the island on the 25th to spend some time with Lisa's family. They are great and I am sooooooooooo looking forward to get over there.
At the same time I certainly will miss my family in Germany big time!

My 28th Birthday party!

The Birthday Party was at the same time my "Wellcome to Canada" - Party, since I received my permanent Residency at Nov 16th.

Here are some big news!!!

Hi everybody!
The biggest news is, that we have a baby girl. Her name is Eden Rebekah Joy.
Since she is in our life a lot of things have changed. We don’t sleep so much anymore. Lisa is a bit more stressed out by driving in the car and I have two girls who I can cuddle as much as I want. (She is MY second most favorite girl in the world)
She is a special girl. She blesses us in soooooooooooo many ways. Children are truly a gift of God. You can see in them a bit of God that was not yet represented on this planet. A fingerprint, a smile, a hug or a cuddle that you never have seen or felt before.
For us she blesses us in more than one way. She sleeps like a dream and hardly complains about anything. I believe though, that she already has a big portion of attitude and knows exactly want she wants. (we will see, what the future holds)
Anyways, if you want to get to know her, give us a phone call and come by. We would love to introduce you to another face of God.

Our new purchase !!!!!

This is our new Desk and workspace. Friends of ours at church blessed us with a huge gift. (I helped to paint there fence and they blessed us biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig time).
This makes our tinny / cosy flat a little bigger .... esspecially since baby is coming soon.

Lisa and I were on the beach as this hover craft landed and troped two people of .... I made a movie as well, but it is way to big to upload to the blog.

Weekend camping at Golden Ear National Park

Yes, 4 weeks to go and we are camping the last time on our own. Lisa needed 4 pillows to make it through the night, but we both enjoyed it.
Golden Ear National Park is only a small drive outside of Vancouver and it is beautiful.

Lisa and I enjoyed the week away! It was amazing to be outside the city and to work with horses again.

And for all, who don't know BC ........... it is soooooooooooooooooooo beautiful!

A treat in Whistler

I am sitting up here in whistler and enjoying a amazing weekend with peter and Cavelle Dove. They invited Lisa and me to come up here and spend some time with them in a Time share they have up here.
This time was amazing. We played Settler of Catan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoyed the Wirlpool and had tonnes to eat.

Today on Sunday we are heading back to Vancouver and enjoying the rain again!!!!!
I have to get organized, since we have to be out of here at 10 o'clock am.

THE WORLD SHOULD KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!

What is God challenging me with ??????????????

I am just reading a really cool book: "the practice of the presence of God" by brother Lawrence.
One of the sentences with hit me in the face was the following:

"The dear brother remarked that we must give ourselves totally to God, in both temporal and spiritual affairs. Our only happiness should come from doing God's will, wether it brings us some pain or great pleasure. After all, if we're truly devoted to doing God's will, pain and pleasure won't make any difference to us."

So often I am more concerned about doing what I like and want. God though, who is always present, wants to redirect my attention to him. He wants to show me, that he is on the same Team with me. He is the one who has the best for us in mind. (often I think that if I sit with God, that I miss out on something else)

Like brother Lawrence said: "Let us occupy ourselves entirely in knowing God."
I am often not cappable of doing that at all. Distracted by sooooooooooooooooo many things, which look so much more important and attractive. I want to learn to see the beauty in god to the degree, that I can't put my eyes away from him anymore.
